A few moments of fantasy .. a early morning glimpse of heaven ..

The silence of my thoughts is jostled by ..

the rapid descent of the object from her jacket to the floor ..

I rush to her assistance.. the time of reckoning has come …

My hands succeed in winning the mad dash to her keys ..

She lays her soft but firm hand over mine ..

I melt by her touch .. almost frozen .. in ecstasy ..

She turns .. and away out the door ..

A touch .. a hold of her hand .. resting heavily on her thigh

Is met with a sigh .. breath .. pause

Positioned like a dam in rising waters ..

I am relentless .. she concurs ..

Is it a corner… a wall .. her back is against .. or a cliff

The uncertainty in her voice .. dampens my soul ..
